Text optimization and barrier detection with artificial intelligence

Goal and contribution
TOP.KI makes vocational exams more inclusive: AI-powered text optimization rewrites exam questions in easy-to-understand language – while aiming to keep content and difficulty level unchanged. As part of the project, we are also developing the BarriereSensor, which is designed to detect digital barriers in texts and on websites and suggest improvements. The goal: remove linguistic and digital barriers and create fair opportunities.

For IMAP GmbH and the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency (ADS), we are developing an AI-powered survey chatbot that captures experiences of discrimination in Germany in a structured way – with a focus on accessibility and a conversation flow that adapts to the answers.
